I started with a mix of parts of figures, modeled on a modern suit but not too futuristic,it was not easy, scales 1 / 35 is Already quite small to Make That A Few details tell the truth ..... Also I now I see only with the enlargement of the picture!

I finally finished this model!

Specifically built for Lucca Comics Festival 2011 NKGC.

There Are Still A Few details but it ended!

I think I have defined the main lines of the twister, I pod with a rocket launcher or a lot offunction in the photos you can see the prototype of a Gatling machine gun. In thisversion of Twister you can see the 6 wheels now perfectly reproduced in resin. As the saying goes ..... who begins well ishalf the battle!
Here in the last year and the first hour of this I started their hands on a new project that will follow in the intermediate times of Wipeout "Beholder Team " it is currently doing the makeup with putty and different sanding.... but you know it is a piece that will serve as the master must be theperfect as possible and to make copies.

The new project will be named "Twister", what you see just sketched (they could still change many things) it is "wheels" version but I thought the opportunity to give an alternative to magnetic levitation systems .... say then that will have a greater integration level of the subject in different location .

However, it is little idea but.... I was very tickled! Wheels may not be the final! It lacks a significant amount of superstructure ..... just only 3 hours of work.

Luther Mechanische for Libelle

This is the Luther hooked Libelle, for maintain a clear division of color, I will colored in red and and it will be a function of a manipulator mecha.

You can see in these early pictures that Luther will not present weapons, but two arms to allow manipulate and move objects (weapons spare parts etc.). Everything will be complemented by additional hydraulic hoses and accessories, the style recalls the arms of some series Ma.k

The Libelle V finished! was awarded the first prize of the contest DUST 2010, during the Lucca Comics Festival 2010!
It will then be considered for entry into production as a model kit series.
I am very happy with this result and for this opportunity, but especially for having had many positive reviews from many good models, this has more value to me!

Another small step, the seat as I had written in an old post would like to draw a little retro style and even the "unusual" for a means of war, to this I had to also add seat belts, the problem is was not having belts that scale (1/ 5) I had to build them, obviously they can not compete with those photoengraved but I'm still happy with the final result, derived from the "plate" of an old tube of toothpaste, judge for yourself. Wipeout "Beholder team"

And now the model....

Many of you will know the famous racing game Wipeout wild, racing cars aircraft suspended several feet from the ground through an anti-gravity suspension system ...... so why not make a model ??....
..... In the various series of this game have followed many types of vehicles, I wanted to add a me too, of course, is always based on Wipeout style, the color is obviously essential in this subject!
Everything is born of an old toy car for my son who drew much the center of this type of rocket car, the need to wait for the dead time between work and the other other models .... and this is born Wipeout " Beholder "
The model just mentioned, missing a host of accessories and it is only 30% of the work, but the core idea is the least you can appreciate the final look.
The color? ... Maybe a orange shaded to white with a host of sponsors and a big number race!

My project is to create a master template to create copies they can sell to fans.....would be my dream.

WIP Arado Ar 235 "Atem" (il soffio alieno)1/48

Come annunciato mesi se non anni....ecco che in preda ad un raptus modellistico (che non avevo da mesi) ho tirato giù le basi di un aereo stile Dust senza però esagerare non volevo andare oltre...diciamo che sono rimasto molto nell'area Luft 46.
Un piccolo ricordo è verso l'aereo che Indiana nel film "I predatori dell'Arca perduta" fece saltare...la tipologia delle ali almeno!
Era un progetto che doveva partire già l'anno scorso poi....vabbe! Si basa su un Revell 1/48 del famoso e già avveniristico per l'epoca AR 234, nella mia mente ho pensato che l'aiuto "alieno" sulla aereodinamica avesse portato ad un evoluzione dello stesso progetto portandolo a questo da me pensato....AR 235 "Atem".
Come potete vedere è un bel MIX di pezzi per quanto riguarda le ali, questo pezzo ha causato il sacrificio di ben due KIT ma non è detto che basti.
Il dubbio rimane sulla coda, se lasciarla così oppure modificare anch'essa....è in che modo?

Finalmente ho avuto l'opportunità di conoscere un grande modellista che del suo hobby ne ha fatto un vero e proprio mestiere, German Impache Torinese d'adozione è fautore di grandi opere modellistiche ...in tutti i sensi... diciamo che per tenere un suo modello dovreste lasciare l'auto fuori dal garage! Veramente un vorticoso insieme di pezzi che presi da solo direbbero poco o niente ma messi insieme prendono vita in un qualcosa di veramente High Tech di un futuro oramai prossimo!

Cosa rimane di questo incontro? La speranza di portare nuovamente a Torino la magia della fantascienza!

Eccoci al nuovo anno...
questo figurino è partito alla fine del 2009 e prosegue adesso nel 2010.
Un ulteriore esercizio in questo mondo che è il figurino Japan...sicuramente divertente, questa volta ho messo a frutto qualche tecnica acquisita con il mio primo figurino "EL" per quanto riguarda il volto e sopratuto gli occhi, punto fondamentale per questo tipo di modellismo!

Luther e Libelle

Sono arrivato ad un momento di crisi, ho chiudo il tutto accontentandomi di un lavoro mediocre ma almeno consegnabile a Lucca 2009 oppure vado avanti e a Lucca arriverà probabilmente un "Work in progress".
Credo che la scelta giusta sia la seconda, mi spiacerebbe non portare a termine un progetto che reputo meritevole di più tempo.
Il problema è appunto il tempo che non ho o meglio è insufficente quando si parte con progetti di questo tipo che portano a continue modifiche e soluzioni fino a che in risultato non sia pienamente soddisfacente.
Comunque il lavoro continua, ad oggi il prototipo del carrello (meglio dire zampa) è concluso e lo stò masterizzando per poter realizzare le tre gambe che terranno ben saldo la Libelle, in fondo un carrello convenzionale avrebbe avuto qualche problema di applicazione, così diciamo che sarà molto più adattabile a possibili abblicazioni e terreni.
Vi rimando alle prime foto delle copie in resina appena saranno terminate!!!

New Project Ma.k style

Sicuramente il periodo che seguirà fino a novembre 2009 mi troverà impegnato nella realizzazione della Libelle Dust, e sarà dura molto dura perchè il lavoro è tantissimo ma il tempo estremamente breve!
Comunque appena esaurito questo lavoro intendo partire nella realizzazione di un mezzo stile Ma.k con la possibilità di crearne un master per eseguirne delle copie per gli appassionati del genere.
Sarà un lavoro lungo ed ambizioso, un idea di partenza c'è ed è abbastanza ben definita, il genere sarà tipo il Ma.k "SAFS Gladiator" ma molto più pesante ed armato e magari con qualche zampa in più!!
La scala sarà sicuramente in 1/35 viste le dimensioni che prenderà e per favorire l'accostamento con tutto il mercato modellistico in 1/35.
Non è detto che possa avere un accostamento multiplo a più soggetti Sci-Fi e non necessariamente Ma.k, questo sarà a discrezione del modellista.

Prossimamente se riuscirò vi mostrerò il disegno del progetto......quindi rimanete sintonizzati!

Orbital Express Shuttle 1/72 "Finito"

Terminato in tempo record solo un paio di settimane.
Devo ammettere che la semplicità del modello dal punto di vista estetico ne valorizza la bellezza.
Quello che doveva essere un semplice esercizio è diventato un bel soggetto da portare in giro alle mostre....a far compagnia a EL.
Il modello sarà imbasettato con un inclinazione che ricarda quella del rientro in atmosfera dello Space Shuttle.
Probabilmente adesso FedEx avrà un mezzo ancora più veloce!

Ecco che dopo aver stuccato e carteggiato quasi all'infinito...sono passato alla stesura del primer e alla successiva base di colore bianco, il modello infatti avrà due colori uno sicuramente il bianco e il secondo potrebbe essere blu o arancione, colore quest'ultimo che si addice molto ai modelli sci-fi....vedremo, la versione blu calcherebbe la soluzione originale che attribuisce lo shuttle alla FedEx con relative insegna...la versione arancione ovviamente sarebbe di fantasia...sono ancora indeciso...vedremo.
Nella foto vedrete anche la base realizzata dalla 27 Rosso in MDS e successivamente customizata da me sia per colorazione che per l'inserimento dello specchio, la raffigurazione è appunto dello shuttle il aria....non c'erano alternative...non ha il carrello!!!

Quello che sembrerebbe un kit veloce.....viene voglia di farlo per la particolarità e la semplicità di montaggio.....ma sarà proprio così?
Si tratta di uno Short Run, composto da 3 parti in plastica di spessore elevato 1 parte in resina il Cockpit una trasparente il canopy 4 per i dettagli dei motori: classici con i coni o più futuristici con elementi trasparenti rossi.
Il kit mi è stato gentilmente regalato da un mio amico "Ettore" che non sapendo che farsene ha pensato a me che ho un pò il pallino sci-fi.

Il primo passo è stato dipingere il cockpit e il pilota (un pezzo unico) giusto per dare decorosità a questo elemento, il resto è stato un duro lavoro di carteggiatura per ridurre di parecchio il residuo dello stampo e liberare il reale profilo delle due valve e ridurre di un po il bordo di uscita alare (enorme) , ho quindi incollato il tutto con colla bi-componente che mi ha permesso di gestire bene il corretto posizionamento degli elementi fissati con diversi morsetti.
Carteggiato il tutto è stata la volta di un pò di stucco per raccordare perfettamente l'unione......adesso aspetto che solidifichi per ri-carteggiare e passare allo stadio finale....la verniciatura!!!

"EL" con Reideen Elettric rod (terminata!!!)

Sono arrivato alla conclusione di "EL" e per essere il mio primo figurino ne sono pienamente soddisfatto!
Rispetto a quella che si vede sul WEB ho modificato qualcosa, ho preferito crere un vestito completamente in pelle di colori e tonalità diverse e anche alcuni particolari cromatici li ho cambiati...ovviamente è una questione di gusto personale....
Queste ultime foto sono state realizzate con lampade ad incandescenza invece che le solite a basso consumo, anche se dovrebbero avere stesso luminosità le foto ne hanno risentito....credo che tornerò alle prime.

Sulle orme di Scott Robertson

....a dire il vero "magari" riuscissi in 1 centesimo della sua bravura!
L'anno scorso durante Lucca 2008 ho avuto il piacere di incontrare Scott Robertson e di accaparrarmi (insieme anche al Brock) due dei suoi libri, sono rimasto estasiato dai suoi schizzi, e da quelli realizza grazie a programmi di fotoritocco (Photo Shop, etc) dei capolavori.

Oggi mi sono ricapitati in mano e allora!!.......ci ho provato anche io....(provato è la definizione giusta) Rispolverata la tecnica della prospettiva....ecco quello che ne è uscito, un lavoro di un paio di orette da un grezzone arrugginito! Giusto per provare.

EL con Reideen Elettric rod (the body)

Sono arrivato a dipingere il vestiario, attualmente i pantaloni il body e lo spencer, la parte di pelle delle anche di EL, come vedete dalle foto, è ancora mascherata in quanto devo terminare la cintura.
Il vestiario dovrebbe richiamare un vestito in pelle di colori diversi con alcune cuciture a vista (spencer) ho quindi lasciato quell'effetto traslucido tipico dei colori ad olio, non troppo lucido e nemmeno opaco...il giusto a mio avviso.

Non è facile dosare le sfumature in maniera omogenea, ma il lavoro di ombreggiatura ad aerografo aiuta molto il seguente lavoro con il colori ad olio.
Per travare una tonalità che mi convincesse della pelle dei pantaloni e del giacchino ho fatto numerosi test cromatici, poi alla fine finalmente il colore valido.

Visto che il banco da lavoro è caldo ho preparato un bel figurino scala 1/6 pronto per la verniciatura!

Si tratta di una bellissima ragazza stile SCI-FI di nome EL armata del terribile REIDEEN!

Dopo tre orette di lavoro sul viso (bisogna sempre partire dal più difficile eh, eh!) ecco il risultato......che ne dite? Per essere la primissima volta mi posso accontentare.

Nuovo modello Sci-Fi in cantiere da associare al Luther in 1/35 in resina. La Libelle nasce da vari tentativi di creare un mezzo aereo adatto al trasporto di mezzi così pesanti ma senza essere allo stesso tempo troppo grande e facile bersaglio.
